Drafted out of Columbus High in Georgia in 1990, Brad Schorr soon signed, passing up college, The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer wrote.

"I guess it's everybody's dream that puts on a glove," Schorr told The Ledger-Enquirer of signing. "It's just hard to pass up something when you get paid for doing something."

Schorr ultimately got paid to play over six seasons. He topped out at AA.

Schorr's career began that year in 1990, taken by the Mets in the 22nd round of the draft out of Columbus High.

Schorr started with the Mets in the rookie Gulf Coast League. He went 2-3 over 12 outings, eight starts.

For 1991, he moved to rookie Kingsport and short-season Pittsfield. He went 7-6 between them, with a 2.95 ERA. He started an August game strong for Kingsport, before giving up two runs in the third, The Kingsport Times-News wrote.

"It was one of those relaxed innings where I lost my concentration," Schorr told The Times-News afterward. "I was getting everything up, and they made me pay for it."

Schorr played 1992 at single-A Columbia. He went 12-6 there, with a 4.78 ERA. That May, he threw seven innings of shutout ball in a win, The Columbia State wrote.

"I've just taken the attitude of going right after the hitters, and it's been successful," Schorr told The State. "So after starting off kind of slow, this is a big confidence-builder for me."

Schorr played 1993 at high-A St. Lucie. He went 11-10, with a 3.72 ERA. He then split 1994 between St. Lucie and AA Binghamton. He saw 10 outings, nine starts at Binghamton and went 4-4, with a 5.61 ERA. He then finished out his career with four final starts at Binghamton in 1995.
