Rhonda Miller helped welcome back an injured bat boy in 1992; Served as account executive, in promotions

The Fort Myers Miracle's honorary bat boy for this June 1992 double header took a foul ball to his face in the first inning, went to the hospital and returned in time for the end of the second game, The Fort Myers News-Press.

There to greet him - and to ensure everyone else in the park could, too - was Miracle account executive Rhonda Miller., who introduced him, updated everyone on his condition and relayed that the boy had been signed to a minor league contract, The News-Press wrote.

"I was impressed with his determination and courage," Miller told The News Press of the boy.

Miller made that introduction in at least her third season with the club. She would see at least two seasons more.

Two years earlier, as the club still called itself the Miami Miracle, Miller even got onto a group baseball card for "office personnel," listed as account executive. (She's either the woman on the right or the left, it's unclear which)

In her position, Miller often served as the contact for special nights at the park, including one in June 1990 for Big Ten alumni.

In August 1992, Miller took part in a kids career day, where area kids took over and shadowed at jobs in the ballpark, including Miller's, The News-Press wrote.

"Everything went terrific," Miller told The News-Press afterward. "It gave me a good feeling about our leaders of tomorrow."

That December, Miller got promoted to Promotions of Sales, The Naples Daily News wrote.

Miller continued with the Miracle through at least 1995 as she was listed that June as the contact person for DARE night.
