I pointed out that baseball repack from Target. It's the same kind Night Owl picked up recently. My wife chose that particular one because it had a Cub on the front, Mark Grace.
At the center is a ticket stub album. She got it for me so we can hold all of our game stubs that we get. We've been to 35 different parks, by my count, 15 major league parks and 19 minor league parks.
Last year, I had her get me one from Batavia. That led to our June trip and two of my three interviews, Dann Bilardello and Roger LaFrancois, the manager and hitting coach for Batavia and CMC set members.
Also stadium related are those seats everything is sitting on. They're supposed to provide back support for bleachers. It's one of those things that's cool in the idea of it, but the next thing is you have to remember to bring them. We've had seat cushions for a couple years. I don't think we've ever remembered them.
The last things there are the drinking straw eyeglasses and Chasing 3000. The drinking straw eyeglasses we found at Target. They're really cool and freaky when sucking soda through. We actually got two pairs, I got her one and she got me one.
The movie itself is about two brothers who traveled cross-country to see their favorite player Roberto Clemente get his 3,000th hit. Hopefully we'll get to watch it tonight.
By the way, I just realized there's a little bit of a Clemente theme here. He's the subject of the movie. But he's also the choice of Donruss for it's 1987 puzzle.
Merry Christmas everybody and Happy Holidays.
Sounds like you had a good Christmas. I'm curious about the ticket stub book. How many stubs does it hold and do you know where she picked it up from? And does it only hold standard size stubs or does it also hold the fat season ticket ones as well? Sorry for grilling you so much, but that looks like something that I could use.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Looks like the front half is standard size, three stubs per page, the back half is can hold larger stubs, two stubs per page.
ReplyDeleteMy wife says she got it at Uncommon Goods. Looks like this is the link.
